Paisley Noelle ~ 5 Months

Our sweet little Paisley is now 5 months old!! She is getting so big, she definitely is no longer looking like a new born, but like a baby. She is getting those awesome chubby legs and arms. She loves to look around, and hates to miss anything. She loves to talk to anyone that will listen. She has started saying "da-da" all the time. One day soon she will realize that Rabu is actually "da-da" and it is just not a fun thing to say. :) She also loves making "raspberries" with her lips. She is all in all a pretty noisy kid. I will tell you though she has the sweetest most kind spirit about her. Here are a few pictures of our growing girl.

So her stats at her 4 month check up were :
Weight: 15 lbs 2.5 oz (80th percentile)
Height: 25 1/4 inches (75 percentile)

as the heart melts

One thing I have noticed about mommyhood is the fact that my heart has a tendency to melt daily, with these sweet baby girls. Today's melt:

We were all leaving the house. I was helping Rabu put the girls in the car, he was dropping them off today. I gave sweet Paisley a kiss and told her I loved her. Then went over to the other side of the car, played a quick game of peek-a-boo with Lexi before smothering her with kisses. Then kissed the hubby and went to get in my car. Then I heard a sweet unprompted, "I love you mommy, see you later!" Thanks Lexi Bear! I love you too, you made my day!

Here are some pics of Lexi riding a pony at a friend's birthday party a couple weeks ago, she is still talking about the horsey! She loved it! Such a big girl.

Oklahoma Sales Tax Holiday - This weekend - Includes DIAPERS!!!

Oklahoma is having a sales tax holiday this weekend, August 7th -9th.

"Sales of any article of clothing or footwear designed to be worn on or about the human body and the sales price of the article is less than one hundred dollars ($100) are exempt." - Oklahoma Tax Commission Website

Also, for those mommies out there that are buying diapers, diapers are on the list!! Both disposable and cloth. Tulsa's Sales tax is 8.517% so on a $40 box of diapers that would normally be $43.41 with tax is now just $40. That is better than any diaper coupon I have ever come across. Here is a nonexclusive list of clothing that is exempt from sales tax.

Happy Shopping!!

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

This evening was just beautiful outside. Amazing weather for the 1st of August, so we decided to venture to the neighborhood park. Usually Lexi spends all her time going down the slides, and Paisley spends her time hanging out in the stroller. This was a different experience. Lexi wanted to swing, and then Paisley woke up and I put her in the swing too. It was Paisley's first time to swing at a park. She loved it, she smiled so big!! Then of course being the big girl and awesome sister that she is, Lexi wanted to push Paisley in the swing. So with Daddy closely supervising, Lexi pushed Paisley. So cute! Here are a few pictures from our trip to the park. It was a pretty perfect evening.
